Yes you should let it go. We should have won the Tenn. game, but we didn't. It's history. I'm focused on Auburn, Ole Miss, Arky, and Bama.
The prevailing opinion of UT fans is one of relief that they caught us before we got our defensive house in order.
I have forgotten about the Tennessee game and the ASU game as well. We should've won the Tennessee game but we should've lost the ASU game. This team has a lot of character, they have overcome the hurricanes, hurricane relief and dealing with a new coaching staff which also means learning different schemes. We will win the SECCG "IF" we can fix some of our mistakes and our defense can continue to improve and play like they did yesterday. I decided I would rather have a defense like we had under Saban and like we've had the last 3 weeks versus an offensive team like ASU or USC. Defense wins championships. In college football young kids who play the game often lose a game they should've won, it happens, us against UAB, Ole Miss. I actually thought the world had ended after we lost to Ole Miss at home a few years back.
I think I'm now ready to let it go. Yes, blowing a 21 pt lead sucks, but the D got little if any help from the offense or Les Miles (he runs Addai 29 times against Tennessee and that game is not a loss) in the second half. At a minimum, a 11-1 LSU finishes top 4 at least and goes to the Sugar Bowl. That's pretty strong.
I am still mad. Led by 21 for the whole game until the fourth quarter. Pelini or Miles should have made adjustments to the defense. The offense was playing prevent to slow the game down based on how bad the defense was. It would have worked except for the interception. That game was just bad coaching. Very good coaching in the last three though except that well coached teams don't lead their league in penalties and turnovers
No. Their performance in the Tenn. game has led them to this point in their success. If we had won that game we might not be pressuring the QB as much. Losing made it the problems that much more obvious. Remember the Florida loss in 2003? Same thing only USC and Texas play creampuffs for the rest of the year...
Took the words right out of my mouth. Learning from mistakes is the sign of a strong team. Let's hope they learn how to hang on to the ball and not get penalized before it's too late.
I concur absolutely. Otherwise, they may get complacent and not improve to this point. To me, that lost is reminiscent of the lost to the Gators in 2003 that gelled the team.I don't think they would have been able to make adjustments in the defense in the Tenn game because they were winded by the third quarter since the offense didn't give them much of a break, they were probably not in game shape and the defense showed a lot of confusion in coverage. I am very glad to see the dominating way the defense has been playing; really reminds me of the defense in the champion team of 2003. Rep points coming your way :yelwink2: ________ OXYGEN VAPORIZER
