"A win over Florida would show that the Tigers really do need to still be considered in the hunt for the SEC title and still need to be considered in the Rose Bowl chase."

I like it! We can't say that CFN hasn't given us enough respect this year. To be honest, I hope Leak plays. I'm a little more scared of Urban's offense if they put the running quaterback in. Keep Portis on the bench. If Leak's shoulder is really messed up then he's not going to beat us with his throwing ability. We all know he's not much of a runner, so.....I would be happy to see him play the whole game. For some reason I think we win this game big.

I keep reading how Florida's offense has the ability to post a lot of points in a hurry, but they haven't showed that against a decent opponent. Suprisingly, Florida's defense has been their main bright spot this season - it allowed them to beat Tennessee & helped their margin of victory tremendously against Mississippi St. And to be honest, their defense hasn't looked great - just better than expected.

Our WRs still worry me. They have continued to drop balls through all 4 games & I've heard they're struggling to make good catches at practice this week. We need to work with having JaMarcus lighten his touch, especially while we are having these catching issues. Vincent looked better than he has in a while against Vanderbilt, I hope that success can continue against this Florida team. I think our running backs will be able to be pretty effective against Florida, but we will need our receivers to make the important catches - if they do that, our offense should be able to move the ball efficiently & score around 25-30 pts this game.

Our Dline has been nothing short of amazing this season, IMO. Florida's weak Oline & lack of a running game should be completely exposed by our Dline. Leak is going to have a very long afternoon if he stays in, but to be honest, I'm expecting to see Portis in there for about 40% of the game due to Leak getting roughed up & an inability to move the ball. Portis has the ability to make an occassional big play, but he is mainly ineffective... The main key will be defensive scheming & our DBs/corners playing a good game. I have a relative amount of confidence that Pellini will have it together for this game & I say we hold Florida to under 14.

I think this LSU team is ready for saturday home game in Tiger Stadium with a normal week of practice beforehand. I expect them to play great, but Florida always plays us well at home - this game could go either way.

Both teams are aware that a loss could knock them out of a trip to the SEC Championship Game and any BCS bid.

There are simply too many good teams to pass with one loss.

Neither could then totally control their own destiny in the SEC.

I think that LSU will able to balance the run and pass attack enough to get the job done. Florida can't be allowed to mount much of a running game and no soft pass D this week.

    Good predictions.

I think both offenses will mostly sputter with a couple of defensive or special teams scores making the difference for LSU. Think it will be tight for the most part with LSU leading 17-13 or 21-13 in the 3rd but we'll blow it open in the 4th as usual. Going to Vegas this weekend........wonder if I should lay the points?

    Tigers: 31

    Gators: 13

I just hope that Bo doesn't plan on blitzing too much. With UFs depleted OL, we shouldn't have a lot of difficulty pressuring Leak with the front four. We need to keep as many in press coverage as possible because they will burn us all day with screen passes if we blitz too much.

I believe this one to be the biggest of the year. I hesitate to make a prediction, but I feel this one could go either way. Geaux Tigers

Then we better hope FightinTiger & others don't pressure Pellini to blitz too much because then he would definitely do it!
