Yes, you take into account losses, but just because a team loses, that doesn’t mean an unbeaten team is better. Theoretically, you’d argue Indiana, with one road loss, should be ranked ahead of Arizona State. ASU is still high on the list because it lost to USC, the best team in the country, and LSU, one of the best teams in the country. Your argument uses the same faulty logic Boise State fans used last year and TCU fans used a few years ago when their teams were unbeaten despite not really being top-ten caliber great. You have to go by which team you think is best, mixed in with what has already happened.

If nothing else, please understand this concept. Theoretically, Ohio State could be the second best team in the country if you think Texas is number one. Therefore, ASU could still be one of the five best teams in America if you believe that USC and LSU are two of the five best teams in America.[/size][/font][/size][/font]
