I hope I'm not making a repetitive post (I looked and din't see a thread) but I just heard ESPN reporting that the Sugar Bowl will be played in the Ga. Dome Jan. 2 following the Peach Bowl on Dec. 31. This is may be old news in La.

Edit.---it is now on ESPN headline news at:

I don't think it had been reported yet, but I think we pretty much saw it coming. The Sugar Bowl cares about profit above all else, and if fans can't get hotel rooms to sleep in then they can't sell their tickets.

Can you really blame them??? I didn't realize that the hotel situation was so bad until today. We have a work meeting at the end of the month and we have 10 guys coming in town and there is no hotel room within 1hr+ of BR for them.........and most hotels say they are booked through 2005.

Its usually that case that when something leaves for a bigger city, its never temporary

The Sugar Bowl is not leaving N. O. because it didnt make money. I believe that I read somewhere that the Sugar bowl is one of the more profitable bowl games. It will come back to N. O. if they is a place for it after all is said and done.

Prolly the case in many instances, but certainly not this one, lg. The Sugar Bowl is a synonymous fixture with N/O. and a natural disaster won't change that one bit. I'll just say, "welcome to Atlanta, y'all"

    I am not surprised.

Tennessee will have an added opportunity to lose in the Georgia Dome yet again.
