I think you're taking it a little to personally. He never said all of LSU fans are that way. I agree with everything he said.
Where did he say Baton Rouge was the worst place on earth? Don't put words in his mouth. He's dead on about LSU fans. We are the best and worst fans ... just depends if we win or lose.
Kyle is VERY right. Ever since Saban left I've been trying to remind people that he was not perfect. ONE season, only one (singular) season, out of the FIVE that Saban was at LSU, did we lose less than 3 games. Saban was successful and did great things for LSU, but God he was not. And I've got news for you, Miles isn't & won't be God either.
I'm still pissed about that florida loss in 03'. We should have won that one. Crap it was at home even. Damn you Saban. :hihi:
I don't I agree that the ones bitching aren't true fans. I think a true fan has every right to bitch, just as a true fan has every right to praise. Some of the bitching has been overboard, I will admit, but I don't think there is anything wrong with expressing some type of disappointment with your favorite football team. I've bitched about the playcalling in games and yes, I've even said "Les Miles sucks" once or twice, but usually it was in the heat of the moment. I bitched during the Dinardo era and I bitched during the Saban era. Does that mean I am not a true fan? If I wasn't a true fan, I would've quit following the team after the loss to Tennessee. Or, to take it even further back, would I would've quit after the loss to Iowa and when Saban left. But I am a TRUE fan and will stick with this team, WIN OR LOSE.
Kyle was being politically correct. What he meant to say was that the bitchers don't know crap about football and all they are is mouth and ass.
Bitching or showing concern is every fans right and we all should have been concerned with some of what we saw those first two games. But most of the negative posts went way beyond bitching and complaining and like Kyle says, the analogies to Saban and the reality of Saban's tenure were way offline and ridiculous IMO. then the rancor and vile statements and even signatures have gone way overboard.
Last Wednesday a friend of mine asked me "Hey, are you going to Starkville for the LSU game?" I was like "Yea I cant wait to go." He was like "Why the hell you goin see that, they suck." After the Tenn. game, everyone thought this team is done. Just give them some time. It's not over yet.
