This is a great observation about our offense, but what happened to our defense, in your opinion?

Did they run out of gas because the offense went 3 and out too much and kept the D on the field too much?

TRob, there is a ton of info on the very question you're asking. Are you sure you're not a troll trying to fan the flames again?

Just check back a week ago and you'll have enough opinions to read about this for days to come.

The defense only gave up 2 scores in regulation. Not unusual against a top 10 team. Had the offense been more succesful in their effort to grind it out and run the clock, it would have limited Tennessee's offensive opportunities. I think people put way too much emphasis on the defensive liabilities. Sure, there were blown coverages and first downs made by Tenn, but it's not like they lit us up for 35 points.

Edit: I should have said 2 TDs.

I agree with Jean. That had a lot to do with the poor defence running out of steam even starting in the 3rd quarter. I also feel that the conservative offence play calls also had something to do with the fact that JR didn't seem to play that well in that game, therefore with loss of confidence on the part of the coaches.

BS, Criticism was howling from Tiger fans throats when LSU kept going 3 and out in the 3rd. Stupid and conservative "sit on your fat ass and protect a lead" coaching THAT COST MILES MANY GAMES BEFORE THIS ONE (Proof an idiot doesn't learn his lessons).

MILES COST LSU THEIR SHOT AT THE NC GAME BY GETTING STUPID & TRYING TO BURN CLOCK INSTEAD OF SCORE.

When this knucklehead lets his guard down this week, I hope you guys with those "TOUGH" questions slip one in on him about the Tennessee game.

    Ask him this Weds nite!!!

"Hey, Coach! Congrats on your first big SEC win! It's a week late for me and most and it came against a cellar dweller, but it's better than nothing! Hey, coach! Do you think that since you choked and gave away the Tennessee game in the second half and our shot at the National title that you guys can COACH a little more relaxed and let the FB team talent make it to an SEC Championship game.

A shortened version would most certainly be heard in entirety! No rest for this maggot! Remember, I predicted a 38-10 win over MSU! Final score 37-7!
