Guys i just watched the replay of the game and although all the coaching issues have been talked about what i was amazed at and didnt realize it until i watched the replay is LSU had many , many opportunities to put this game away.

I saw many plays on offense where one player broke down on blocking assignments and it caused a bad result.

There was a play in the third quarter where if mcgill just gets- jumps on top of the d lineman addai scores a touchdown. Instead the lineman crawls on the ground untouched and tackles addai.

Justin Vincent runs through the wrong hole on short yardage and gets tackled instead of hitting the whole and picking up big yardage.

Bennie Brazzell runs too flat a route on a pass and allows the lineman to get him. If he runs the route correct like i have seen skylar do many times he gets a first down.

Fumbles that LSU didnt get. Skylar fumbling out of bounds instead of getting a first down. Jamarcus stupid before half play.

QB Center snaps, addai fumbling, Jamarcus interception, .

Our players did not perform in the second half. They simply did not make the plays to win the game. Yes there were some coaching issues but it is the players that really decide whether we win or lose. They can make bad coaching decisions look like good ones and they can make good coaching decisions look like bad ones.

I am not throwing the team under the bus but i am pointing out that they are going to have to make the plays to win games.

One player not doing his job on a play can cost us the game and on many plays in the Tenn game that is exactly what happenned.

It seemed that every break in the second half went their way too. Riggs fumbles the exchange the play before their first touchdown and the ball bounces right back in his hands.

I have to say i am feeling better because all the things i saw can be corrected and instead of getting down i am relieved.

This is a good team and getting back on the right path starts at Miss. St.

Tiger fans this can still be a special season.

Don't forget there were plenty of poor passes and dropped balls by UT in the both half's that would've knocked the wind out of the team.

That sort justification goes both ways. UT missed a lot more opportunities to make scores and big yardage than LSU did IMO.

I still blame the coaching for most of this melt down.

Calco,Calco,Calco....both teams missed opportunities....each turned it over 4 times...UT just made more plays when they needed to be made....i am relieved too....im glad there are 2 halves....just too bad LSU forgot that....i dont see how the INT was the coaches fault...or the fumbled exchanges....and the D playing awful...if Clausen is so average in your opinion then why did he beat you? and good O in the second half...what was it 56 yards?....thats pretty good

I'm watching it right now. Way too many personal foul-ups. Its hard to blame the coaches when a DB blows an assignment, a guard misses a block, or a QB doesn't get rid of the ball.

    Excellent post, two things:

    1) I have no idea how you had the stomach to watch that game again. Good for you.
    2) You've made me feel better about the game. I.e. Maybe these are errors that we can get rid of...

Yeah, I couldn't get enough! I had to watch the COACHING CIRCUS AGAIN!

I had to listen to SMILES explained how "THEY" (players) were to blame on his ridickalickalickalus radidio tawk show & find out what a true piece of work he is.

YEAH, I JUST HAD TO WATCH & LISTEN!

Three years of this foolishness is gonna seem like eternity. Maybe Saban will flop in the NFL & return just like Spurrier! We can fantasize, anyway, now that LSU's NC hopes are dashed!

To have that player do the right thing or be in the right position is what coaching is.. he there are mass failures of this sort then the coaching and preparation for the game must be looked at...
