JR is terrible at reading coverage and moving past the primary reciever.. He is even worse at audibling at the line and calling for hot routes.. this is the reason he gets beat by the blitz so much.. its not the line, its the fact that he doesnt switch a reciever to a hot route and throw the 5 and out or slant..

Maybe we should let Flynn or Perrilloux start and have JRussell come in relief. It worked in the Capital One bowl game, and it also worked somewhat for Marcus Randall in the past.

I agree, Calco. LSU has so many weapons that can catch the ball.

I think JR did a much better job in th ASU game, looking off the defense and throwing to the open receiver. There were more dropped balls in the ASU game, but JR looked much sharper and more relaxed. Last night he stared down his reciever and then threw low. Why were there so many screens and little dump passes when we have such incredible speed. Never once did we take a shot downfield to make UTs backs respect the vertical threat.

Run, run, dump pass, punt. I thought I was watching reruns of years of Saints playbook.

See, I don't understand this one. He has been BRILLIANT in the 2-minute drill his entire time at LSU. Oregon State, Iowa, Arizona State. Hell he even put us into FG range against AU on the last drive in 2004, but the ball bounced off of Early's chest (of ALL freaking places; a ball should NEVER bounce off your chest if you drop it) and into the hands of some tool from the Barn. Why in the hell they didn't unleash him in that situation is, well, inexplicable. Those situations are his specialty.
