I have enjoyed this thread, and I can see now that I need a name change. After reading "you guys" and "Tennessee fans downplay their team" I think I have given the wrong impression. I eat sleep and breathe LSU; my six year old boy wears my helmet from the 80's around this Knoxville neighborhood. My purple and gold flags are stirring up a stink in the cul de sac. I run every morning with my LSU hoodie. I just want to make it clear that I am no UT fan. I have access to information that I thought would be pertinent this week so I started a thread.



Bottom line is that UT is depleted on the O line even more today. Just confirmed that the backup C is not ready and the C position will be played by a backup G with no game experience. The line has been reshuffled with their two best blockers on the right side. They won’t be able to establish the run unless they go right. This is not the same team that played Florida.



Back to me…I’m taking suggestions for a user name. One that is more representative of LSU. This should be fun.

There is only one thing that I KNOW FOR CERTAIN: Tennessee will not run with any success up the middle. They will have to try off tackle, and hope LSU's ends and OLB's miss some tackles. Wroten and Williams just aren't going to give it up.

Wroten could be the best DL out there. I've watched that ASU game several times now, and he was in the backfield the entire first half. Unfortunately he missed a few tackles for loss, but he still disrupted play.

If he, or Williams, can be that kind of a force, then UT will not have a prayer.

Sure, Tn will expect to exploit the LSU defense just as ASU did. Why shouldn't they? 50 passes is probably out of the realm of possibility if Pellini has "half a brain" and calls a different game this wk. Tn's injury situation is an opportunity for LSU to target the blitz at a few weakened points in the Tn line, especially SS & CB blitzes on third down & forever from seven+ yds out. I also hope they let Cam Vaughn loose up the middle to blitz all night long, he ain't cutting it on pass defense. No doubt, they'll try to run Riggs behind their experience & size. I see Tn throwing a lot on first down after we stuff their running game early. This game is Pellini's litmus test. We wanna see some turnovers & picks & some serious LSU defensive pressure he's supposedly famous for. Tn's special teams really, really suck, so an LSU win this week is prolly a sure bet as Tn special teams turnovers are likely. That's not enough & I wanna see LSU's defense get at least 2 turnovers. It's time the "GREAT PELLINI" defensive schemes show us some MAGIC and LSU pulls off a couple of MAGIC TURNOVERS to light the stadium up.
