So, he gets "hurt," comes back and finishes a football game, but goes home and suddenly cannot pick up his child. Hrmmm.... :dis:
If Donovan would'nt be complaining about being hurt, they would not even be considering fining lavalais. Thats bull$hit, there was nothing wrong with that hit.
AGREED. The spearing rule has been in effect for quite a while. Of course I would have thought a penalty would be called....not a fine.
My husband and I vehemently disagree, but I don't think there was anything wrong with the hit. Players like Ronnie Lott, for instance, wouldn't be able to play these days with the way things are going.
How do you not launch yourself at someone helmet first? Do you stick your head in between your legs and then try to tackle him. You have to go head first to tackle someone. I can understand the helmet to helmet rule but this one sucks.
Yes he used the helmet or led with the helmet but it was the front of the helmet not the top Text Boook tackle
Yes, but he launched himself, ie jumped horizontally at McNabb. The Referee must determine whether opponent had a reasonable chance to stop his momentum during an attempt to block the pass or tackle the passer while he still had the ball. By leaving your feet, you pretty much lose the ability to stop momentum. Just like when someone jumps into the lane and is called for charging in basketball.
Well, I got fined $50 for pissing on the toliet seat at work today. I guess it's about the same type deal. :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:
