This couldn't be more wrong. The players were coached to play zone with a 10 yard buffer all night. Horrible. Pelini better change his coachijng style to fit these LSU athletes or his ass will be teppered out of here.

I agree with you to a point. Don't take all the blame off of Pellini, but it's important to realize that our defensive players weren't making the plays necessary for us to have a good defense.

well i will say we should have had atleast 3 more To's. But the scheme sucks. If you blitz, which we did a lot more then ya'll think last night, you have to disguise it. And you have to play up on the receiver. If not the QB will just do 3 steps and boom hit the receiver who the CB is playing 10 yards from. Bottom line is Bo needs to change the scheme.

Did anybody else think the CB's looked uncomfortable in zone? I thought prude looked lost playing so far off and looked as though he wanted to close the gap. jmho though.

Now this will get me in trouble for stirrin' old memories... but your corners didn't look that great in the CapOne either. It makes me wonder if they get so caught up in the hype about how quick and fast they are... that they think they can make up for coverage or read mental errors. .. just a thought.

Why do I feel like you must be someone who's been around under another name and you're just using a new name to bytch? Ramah maybe?

Really, why sign up on this forum with such a negative bytchy name anyway? I guess you're only purpose here is to whine about the defense. So what happens when the D makes adjustments and starts playing well?

    Grow up.

Bull poopy. That QB was awesome last night. His reads were perfect, he placed the ball in perfect spots... Sure our secondary wasn't very good, but that QB was quite possibly the best we'll face all year. You're full of crap if you honestly think those QB's you listed are better. Perhaps Leak if he plays well, but no way on the others. Clausen? Gimme a break. And Croyle is good, but he's never lived up to the hype, and even if he does, he'll probably be injured before then anyway.

    I'm guessing you:
-Didn't watch the game very closely, or at least in a semi-sober state
-Have such a hatred of the PAC10 that you refuse to think they could have such a good QB
    or
    -you're smoking crack

    Which is it?

He couldn't hold Chris Leak or Brodie Croyle's jock. He was slightly above average at best and we will see several better this season alone.

What game were you watching? What could you have possibly seen that would make you say he was "slightly above average"? I'm not saying this is Joe Montana, but come on...close to 500 yards and 4 TDs. He could not have played a better game. Give the man the credit he deserves!:dis:

Are you serious?   His recievers were open by 10 to 15 yards 99.9% of the time and he had ALL DAY to throw the ball. My little girl would have lit up LSU's D the way they played last night. He didn't have to read the defense because it was as plain as the nose on your face what the LSU D was going to do damn near every play. They even stopped sending a reciever in motion to tell if it was going to be zone or man because it became very apparent that LSU was playing nothing but soft zone. Many many D-1 QB's would have had carer nights against the D we saw last night.ASU's QB didn't do anything special, just sit back and throw 10 to 15 yard passes to wide wide open recievers with no pressure on him.

This may b OT for this thread, but I still don't know why this game was moved all the way out to AZ. Couldn't we have accomplished the same thing (including fund raising) by moving the game to Shreveport? I know the Independence Bowl (or whatever the name of that stadium is) probably doesn't hold hold as many people as SunDevil stadium, but that game wasn't a sell out and Shreveport would've made it more of a home game. I'm not critisizing the decision more than wondering why Shreveport wasn't a consideration. Maybe it was and I didn't hear about why it was nixed.
