No this thing could have BEEN ALOT WORSE! We got lucky again. Dont get me wrong there is alot of damage done but no where near the doomsday they were predicting yesterday.
As well as Breton Sound, Chandeleur Sound, Lake Borgne/Catherine/Rigolets. I can't imagine what Shell Beach or Delacroix looks like now.

Was a pretty tiresome day around here. It was brightened up this evening though. A freind from Kenner stayed here with us during the storm. His parents made it back into town this evening and grilled some steaks for us all! His place in Kenner is probably badly damaged and/or flooded but at least we had a good evening with family and friends.
Update on my roof. The wind ripped up the tarp that was covering the roof. Now we've got some torrential downpours from these remaining storm bands and I've got water leaking into my bathroom. Lord knows where else it will start leaking. Needless to say, these roofers are going to have one pissed off Marine on their hands when/if they decide to come back. :angryfire :angryfire :angryfire :angryfire o:
