I feel the same way. I'm safe and sound here in Arkansas but this one hits too close to home. I'm fortunate all my family has gotten out of town. Hang tough everyone.
I'm from N.O., but I was in Mobile Friday. I drove to Jackson, even though it is in the path. I'd expect it to go down to a tropical depression by the time it gets here. If it doesn't slow down enough before it gets here, I beat it to Memphis. Parents are in Dallas. Dad wisely drove overnight on Friday, made it there this morning.
I'm at my LSU condo here in Baton Rouge. It's gonna get bad over here, but I'm worried about what's gonna happen down in South Lafourche where I'm from. It doesn't take much to flood down there. We're pretty much the first line of defense, so we're gonna get hit harder than just about anywheres else. I hope it stays to the east, but it's still gonna be real bad.
Stayin' dry in the ATL................................ and hey brother with the roof need, I just gotta new one: 4K Hope she blows hard on ya.
mtntiger here. My dad is riding this thing out in Ocean Springs, MS. Not too terribly worried. He's not right on the coast, but mom and my sister and her kids got to higher ground (Atlanta). My brother was able to get out of N. O. thank God. I am really worried about everyone who didn't get out, regardless of where they're staying. My family and I are praying that flooding will be minimal at worst. Keep praying, and remember, God created angels for a reason: to help us. Seek an angel's intervention and it will be sent to you. God bless you all.
Good luck and God Bless to all of you that are going to get hit by this hurricane. My prayers will be with you.
Watching from the sidelines in DE, but my fricken idiot brother drove BACK to his house in Pass Christian to ride out the hurricane. Darwism at its finest :dis:
