Way out of harms way up here in the northeast--but my family is riding it out in Thibodaux (my grandmother is too ill to be evacuated), so I'm definately worried. My thoughts and prayers are will all of you fellow Louisianians, yourselves and your families. May you all make it out safe and sound.
In BR here.... i've got my tether made and it is anchored off to the toilet in thr downstairs bathroom. I plan to use it to test wind speeds... going to tie around waist.... Will be able to pull myself back inside if they are too bad. This is going to be fun!
I'm in my apartment in BR an am not worried at all... BR has always been my parents' evacuation place for hurricanes. Now, their house in Kenner I am worried about.
Just hope we don't lose power here in BR. Can't handle no AC for several days with 95 degree heat. And I'm sick of the national coverage ... too much doomsday talk. But I did enjoy the chick on Fox going nuts when she saw those surfers out in the water. Guess I'll watch the local news and hang out with you fools. :grin:
