1. Not sure if this has been posted. Its kinda funny, especially about Auburn:

"If we in the SEC are to ever impress our cultural betters on the West Coast or the Northeast, and every true liberal in this part of the country aspires to do just that, we must end these imperialistic, oppressive and hurtful images and names and come up with tolerant and inclusive ones instead. Imagine how wonderful it would be if the Ole Miss Peace Activists played the Alabama Sensitive New Age Guys (SNAGs), and instead of hitting each other on the field to resolve their differences, they instead negotiated and discussed their feelings and worked in an open and accommodating environment of mutual understanding on 4th and Goal. 2. :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:
  3. Sounds like the PAC-10.
  4. LSU Tigers: Investigation yields that "tigers" originally had nothing to do with animals and is instead derived from an older nickname for Louisiana troops that fought Yankees a long time ago. Ironically enough, the name isn't offensive to Yankees. Rule one of the offended handbook is that anything from the South that dates back before 1964 is offensive, hurtful and backward, and therefore must go.

Auburn War Eagle/Tigers/Plainsmen: Tigers gotta go for being a blatant cheating rip off of LSU. This is offensive to LSU, who thought it up first, and everyone else who studies hard and does his homework and suffers at the hands of cheaters. Plainsmen is offensive to beautiful people, and War Eagle is named after that war against Yankees that everyone gets so cranky about. Auburn Schizos would be a good nickname for this team who can't figure out who they are-if only that name weren't already offensive to those with multiple personality disorder.

  5. He shows his ignorance by suggesting Auburn stole 'tigers" from LSU since Auburn played FB a year before LSU as the........Auburn Tigers. Furthermore Princeton used "tiger" long before either LSU or Auburn.
  6. But which is the better tiger? the one adopted in tribute to the some of the most feared soldiers in the confederate army, or the one in tribute to a Oliver Goldsmith poem?

  7. Over time, they seem to be pretty equal :)

But I will fight with the Cofederate Tigers anytime I get the call.
  8. we've been through this before. you did steal it. Just because you made rings for that also doesn't change it.
