I have been trying to get in touch with a friend of mine who is an equipment manager and he just called me back and told me that it is true and he thinks it is pretty bad. But of course only an MRI will tell.
Again, not to downplay this, but Miles is agenda is typically more spread out, and I had been hearing that Addai was the #1 back anyway, but whatever the situation, it is a big loss... BTW... congrats on post 1000 scrapper
Alley is on the shelf for the 2005 season. The MRI will tell the rest of the story, but all indications point towards major ligament (acl) damage.
I don't know if we are as deep at runnig back as some people think. Addai is certainly a very good back but behind him you have Vincent who if he plays like he did in 2003 than that's awesome but if he plays like last year than that's not very good. Carey is probably not a every down back but he is capable. Maybe someone like Robinson will step up.
Yes... I am hearing the ACL word too, may only be a strain though? who knows?... And we ARE very deep at RB...
Losing Alley is bad but we do have great backups. It's not like our running game is now gone but damn......he is a tremendous assest. Hope it's not serious. He would have had a great year and would have caused serious problems for the our opponents. This still sucks!
