no big out of conference teams except in state rivals Tulane and USL. I wonder why they are not scheduling big matchups with anybody???
baseball is not a revenue sport so they cant schedule much ooc away games. the closer the better. 2006 L.S.U. Baseball Schedule Fri. Feb. 10 N. FLORIDA 6:30 L Sat. Feb. 11 N. FLORIDA 2:00 W Sun. There is no reason we couldn't or shouldn't schedule big names is baseball. Texas, Texas A&M, Baylor, Rice are all close. We also have had series recently with Arizona St. and Long Beach State, and they are not close. We may have an off year next year, but this is still LSU. We won't have a losing record.
Fellas, Fellas, *cough* tirk *cough*, fellas... The team next year will be HEAD AND SHOULDERS better than this past season. The schedule is bit weaker OOC than usual, but other than that I see no reason why we can't have a phenomenal year in '06. I've posted this MANY times, but I'll give you at least 10 reasons why we CAN and will have a great season. Will Harris (WILL be MUCH improved.) Chris Jackson (need I say more?) Michael Hollander (nice play at SS this season and I think he'll be even better.) Matt Liuzza (Should be better this season.) Bruce Sprowl (could maybe be the most solid lead-off man we've had in awhile.) Quinn Steward (C'mon this guy will (should) at least hit 20 dingers.) JP Padron (see QS.) Jordan Mayer (see JP.) Entire pitching staff (WOW! lots of arms coming back, plus much needed Michael Bonura will be returning.) Look for Meier to come around. Smith Should still be solid. English will be better. Dirks will be all-SEC. I could go on and on.... off year? MY ****'n ASS!
At LSU baseball is a revenue sport. 21-34? You sound like me going off on the Brown Suit. You're math needs work. LSU will not field a losing team for a long time.
really? thanks for the tip. i was unaware LSU baseball made money. nah, i meant baseball as a whole and its treated as such here since the profit is minimal at best. giving brown shorts a little room for error. I'll guess somewhere near .500. Jay is in for a rude awakening. :hihi: :hihi:
