He wasn't that impressive. There wasn't noticable change in their offense during, before, or after Ainge was hurt in the Notre Dame game. There was a huge drop off when Mauck went down in 2002.

Clausen played decent at UT last year but never was that great. Though he wasn't the reason for UK and Vandy keeping the games close (the horrible defense was), he throws the ball quite inaccurately and does not have a great arm.

Several of his SECCG passes that he connected on were horribly thrown yet somehow caught by the WR

I chose Auburn. Take a real good look at what players they lost. I don't see how anyone could just assume they are gonna be 2nd in the West. I think they fall behind UA, & Ole Miss will take them too.

well normally i disagree in your assessments but i think you nailed it here. UF is definitely a talented team yet not the studs LSU an UT have currently. check the nfl draft recently for clarification.

Meyer will only have to win one or two more than zook and all will be fine. the dude can coach and knows how to evaluate talent. its funny how so many hate the guy because of his attitude yet hardly anyone has heard him say much of anything.

LSU ranked #2 in USA Today??? if true then yes we could be overrated as well given that means Miles is allowed to lose one game max and most of the fanbase will be disappointed. a very tall feat for a new coach taking over for lil napolean.

But, I have to throw in my vote for UT as well. I have little faith in phat phil, clausen and riggs. i do believe ainge is the real deal showing what he did as a true freshman. totally impressive. his comp % was 60% or so I believe.

id take that right now from any of our starters.

i think its fun to hate on our sec foes but sometimes its nuts the lengths people go to blow some things out of proportion. i guess that comes with the territory.

LSU, UT and UF will all be good teams. I think LSU and UT have the most talent. my personal opinion from watching Meyer the last couple years I certainly would have preferred him as LSU's coach due to the different gameplans he employed and how hard his players performed. yet, i never paid attention to miles near as much as I did urban at utah. then again I doubt meyer could have assembled the talented coaching staff les currently has in place. so its likely a wash.

agree. i think if AU falters and the rest goes as planned Bama may surprise barring any major injuries at their limited skill positions.

Nah, I did'nt post that as any jab at Auburn, really. I think they lost way to much to just assume that they will be runners up in the West. Just the loss of Jason Campbell will be an incredible blow to them. It will be basically a brand new team and will take some time to gel. Ole Miss is Ole Miss, but Lane will get it done vs. AU.

We return 9 players on defense that got tons of playing time.

We are only breaking in a new SS and a new CB... Not so sure about the comment we will have a whole new team.

Offense, yes will take time to gel...but I believe returning 9 guys from the #1 scoring defense will keep us in most games.

The Nucleus is gone. You will see a new team whether you Auburn homers believe it or not.

Auburn fans know they are missing a lot but refuse to believe it. Of course they will admit they lost a lot of players and then proceed to say it will be hard to replace them...followed with some lame response about returning players.

Doesn't matter...your entire offense left...your best player on defense left...your DC left...Rosegreen left....your winning ways left
