I am surprised FUSC did not make the list. I was in Vegas two weeks ago and thats all I saw, but I must say I am somewhat surprised.
When you consider that Louisiana is a fairly small market, that's pretty impressive for LSU to be ranked 9th. I think that's something we can really be proud of. I'm not suprised by Georgia or UNC because of their hip-hop images or whatever that rappers & all are wearing. University of Texas will always be in the top 5 because they are the premeir college in the huge state of Texas & have one of the best athletic programs around. I'm shocked to see that people are still buying Alabama gear. I mean, buying it at a goodwill doesn't count does it? Usually the people I see wearing their stuff are not exactly.... what's the word...civilized.
Having lived in Georgia for awhile, I am not surprised at all at UGA being the highest in the SEC. People buy the UGA gear like it's candy it seems. That G is like the Yankees different color hats...people buy it for style
Thats surprising. With UCLA, Standford and USC I figured they'd be loaded with merchandise considering the area they cover.
I'm not surprised though that LSU is up there. Think about it, LA isnt the biggest state, but 95% of the people love the Tigers. They have a loyal fan base, and when there are a few million people in a state buying team gear, it will add up. Then there are the alumni in other states. It doesnt surprise me that LSU is up there or that the SEC has morein the top 10. The SEC hs the some of the most loyal fans college football
