Thanks geauxgirl, do you have any idea what time i should show up on the day they go on sale. I dont mind going real early. My preference would be the second deck in the south endzone, is this possible?

Most of the tickets put on sale to the general public have been West Upper and Upper South Endzone tickets, in the past. Given that the West Upper is now in the hands of the TAF (that started this year), I'm sure that most of the tickets they put on sale will be SU.

As far as calling, they do open one or two phone lines. The problem is getting in. If you REALLY want tickets, I'd bring my cellphone and wait in line. If you get in to the phone bank, GREAT. Otherwise, waiting in line is the way to go. I've spoken with a few people around our seat in SU17 who've gotten tickets by waiting in line. I have no idea how long the line was or what percentage of people got tickets. I also have no idea of what time would be a good time to get out there. I've heard that some people have camped out in the past, BUT that it wasn't "necessary" to get tickets (i.e., some people who didn't camp out got tickets).

Skip sends out a "Cyberside Chats" via e-mail every now and then which has alot of this information. I'd go to lsusports.net and sign up for the Chats. This should give you a heads up on when the tickets will go on sale.

Last season, me and a friend of mine got there the day before and we were the 5th group of people there. Waited 25 hours for season tickets. It ain't that bad sitting out there. We had fun out there. Last season all they had in the South Endzone was single seats. I was sitting on Row K and my friend was on Row L.

I actually called yesterday and the guy told me there wasn't a set date yet, but it'll be early August.

THis sounds like Louisiana politics... its too bad you can just buy tickets... its becoming so that normal middle class people can't afford to go to the games anymore.. kinda sad really...

I arrived at 7 AM for an 8 AM start time and waited about an hour before it was my turn. There were approx. 20 people ahead of me. Keep in mind, this was July '03...before the National Championship season. But, we all knew something special was going to happen that year, right.

There can't be that many people working the ticket phone lines @ LSU. Some people ahead of me were on their cell phones but got to the ticket window before getting through on the phone.

And, like I stated earlier, I like to talk to the ticket agent about seating options & have them point the locations out on the seating chart. The agents usually aren't as patient on the phone as in person. And, the online ordering doesn't let you specify sections, yet.

Another point to remember is that these are for season tickets. People are only going to get what they need under their own names. It's not like when single game or concert tickets go on sale and people might buy extra for friends and family. So, the tickets won't disappear as quickly.

My suggestion...go in person. If you can get there a few hours before hand, you'll be closer to the beginning of the line. :)

The normal middle class guy (and his entire family) can typically go to AT LEAST 3 games a year by buying tickets WELL BELOW FACE VALUE right outside the stadium.

The problem is that that middle class guy wants 50 yard line lower level tickets to Florida, Tennessee and Auburn -- ALL FOR FACE VALUE NOT INCLUDING THE DONATION.

Having had to "eat" hundreds of tickets during my tenure as a season ticket holder because people outside the stadium will offer no more than $5 for my $36 face value extras, I will never feel sorry for the so-called "middle class guy and his family".

Can I get some clarification...the above image shows the southern end of the WU sections (The first few rows) are a $200/year per seat donation. That's about 29$ per game, plus face value. Is that still accurate with the new construction? Also, what is face value for those first few row seats? I'm trying to get a handle on the cost of different sections, thx.

Agree!!! It is supply and demand. Lsu will continue to up the price as along as there is a person on the other end willing to pay for them. I have season tickets and I have tried to sell tickets before the game and only could get $5-10 a ticket. I hate when people say that the middle class can not afford to go to the game. Cry me a river. I bet for the North Texas game, I will probaby have to sell two of my tickets probably for $5-$10/ticket.

All right, got a question about ticket legal issues. Is it scalping if the seller charges over the face value of the ticket? I want to buy some tickets, but in case I have to get them on game day, I don't want to get caught by the 5-0's.

Dutchtown, Monica is mine (whoever she is).

    Peace,
