1. Based on this assessment, I'd say we should all be happy and grateful that we simply made it to the tournament this year. :dis:

With the returning players for next year, I'd say anything short of the round of 32 will be a complete disappointment. :angryfire
  2. Round of 32? You only have to win one game to make it that far. But based on the tigers last 3 tournament games and Minor at the point, who knows.
  3. That sure would be great, but it seems when ever we get some respect that is when we start to play bad.
  4. Carolina tossed out a coach going 19-11 and look what happened...

There is no excuse for LSU not walking away with the SEC West, playing the SEC title game, and advancing DEEP (Elite 8 or better) into the NCAA's. PR wise, it will probably be very tough having people focusing on basketball until after the first few days of January.

LSU could place a portable floor in the NW corner of Tiger Stadium before the Florida AND Auburn games to fire people up. If LSU had any yank, open the SEC schedule the day of the Arkansas game with a game about 5 hours before kickoff. Set the karma! Either in 79-80 or 80-81 the FIRST regular season game was at Florida; it set the tone the tone for a season of just bombing all SEC comers not named Kentucky!
  5. If you are comparing LSU to UNC in basketball I think I am going to throw up. Roy Williams would have laughed himself to death if we would have tried hiring him away from Kansas. And I don't think he would have been able to get near the same players as he has at UNC, I know he wouldn't.
  6. Exactly. We had elite 8 talent this year and apparently we are supposed to be happy with making it to the tourney. Next year, we should have final four talent, so we should be happy to win one game in the tourney. This is a football school, not a basketball school - we should be thankful we can field a team. Mediocrity is not only accepted, it's expected.
  7. Not only does the entire state of Texas suck, it makes people who move there suck too. Annoying...
  8. This one of the funniest posts I have read in years.
  9. You've been reading the wrong threads, son...
  10. That's great...an elite eight team...yea, 2 above average players and no bench...
