The highest point in Louisiana is Driskill "Mountain", elevation 535 feet: www.intersurf.com/~chalcedony/driskill.html The good part of Basketball and baseball is that you make your case completely (almost) on the field, the best team standing is #1 and so will it be for the Lady Tigers !
Was just checking score of the Stanford/ASU game... There are currently 9 white players on the court.
I really don't mean to attack you, BUT: 1) What does California being the most populous state have to do with anything--except for all of the undeserving attention they garner from the media? 2) I think you made a typo when you wrote: "the VERY few here who think we're all hillbillies." It is my experience that there are A LOT more than a "VERY few" Californians who feel this way--I know because I've met LOTS of them :yelwink2:. 3) Louisiana is a conservative state, as you SURELY know since you're from here. Not to bring politics into this, but most of the ppl of LA (NOT Los Angeles :hihi are happy with a simple life with a large heaping of christian and family values. Nothing wrong with that, and I'm no conservative--well not TOTALLY. I'm in the middle of the road leaning SLIGHTLY towards the Democrats, but I have a lot of Southern Pride. I have family AND christian values, and if all of these things make a Louisianian a "hillbillie," so be it! Who cares! right? Southern, and Louisiana pride forever! :laflagwav:laflagwav:laflagwav:laflagwav To stay on topic here, I feel that LSU's plunge (if you could even call it that) isn't ONLY because of their loss to UT. Look at how they played against Alabama! That was sloppy! This is good for LSU. It helps bring them back down to earth. It helps with focus. And like stated earlier, the Law of Averages are no longer against us!
I really hate to see LSU lose and I hate even more for them to lose to Tenn.:angryfire I hope that there is something good that comes from this. Usually there is and like everyone else I rather them lose now then later in the Tournament. Does it look like LSU will still get a number 1 seed?
Thats what makes conferecne tourney's kinda suck. You lose a game in a post season tourney that for you doesnt make a difference if you win or lose, and you lose a spot in the polls. Granted, what difference do polls make? They will be a number 1 seed. It's stupid that these tourney's can bring you down. But then again, some need them to bring there stock up in the big dance so I guess it's only fitting that they can bring them down in some places too. I still dont think they should dropped though. Not after the year they've had. Illinois just lost its first game, they didnt drop out of the number 1 spot.
Like I said losing to Tenn is what really pissed me off. Hopefully it can start a small fire for these girls to get to that national champaionship game that Tenn stole from them last year. Man I thought they had it in the bag too.
