As much as myself and Grad disagree, I have to agree here. I didnt like the kicking of the ball into the stands. I love Tacks emotions, but that seemed so pre meditated that it was just stupid. I didnt like it at all. I didnt mind him going to give dap to the student section a few games ago, or anything like that, but the kicking was not right. Hudson is just as guilty to though. In regards to the guys not getting in, I'm sure that JB let it be known before hand that there was a chance that they wouldnt get in. I'm sure they knew it was his style too. I mean, they seemd upbeat and positive on the sideline. They were hugging and cheering and all that. I mean, what does getting in for 20 seconds do? I mean I know it would be nice to get a big ovation, but you cant get a much better one then JM got before the game. His was better than everyones. I think they knew they prolly wouldnt get in baring a blowout. Trust me, the thought crossed my mind for a min when they were letting the clock run out. I thought maybe he should call a TO and put them in. But, it's not a slap in the face, but it's sorta like just gimmie seconds you know. I think they knew they were appreciated when they received there mementos before the game and that was good enough. I mean, JM only saw 4 seconds of PT in a game before that in SEC play . I'm sure he didnt anitcipate major mins. Sure, I woulda loved to see them in, but I'm sure they knew it wasnt in the cards either. But, seniors thanks for the memories. Way to go out Hud.

You're a nincumpoop...I saw it countless times this weekend, at UCLA most recently, where they called a timeout, or even committed a meaningless foul in order for a four year starter or an outgoing player to get a curtain call one last time from the fans...

All in all, that was an uninformed statement, and I'm wondering how much you know about sports...Other than that, great contribution to the Forum!

Last time I saw something happen, a "play" was part of the game itself!

So I assumed that is what you meant...

As far as a nincompoop or whatever TE called me?

I dont care if 100 schools did it! It still don't make it right You telling me that if 100 teams send in a 'goon' that they are right?

I think that for the spirit and flow of the game, our guys would have rather gone in naturally than to have a timeout get them in.

And people talk about Vandy being hurt b/c they just played well etc...

Yeah sure, we can't kick a ball into the stands AFTER THEY ARE OFF THE COURT, but we can take a timeout to prolong their agony?

Had we committed a foul, I wouldn't have cared, but taking a timeout and totally disrupting the rhythm of the game I think is really classless

I had class with Paul and he was a cool guy he always gave it 100% whenever he could to support the team. He was always the first off of the bench and he always had something nice to say about the team to me.

He even took ol whats his name in Miamis best punch which led to him breaking his jaw. And he stayed on the team as a walk on to actaully receive a schlorship for his hard work. And he was also all alone in BR with his family all being in Illinios. I was impressed by his resume and I feel like he deserved a minute or two in his senior game.

As for Josh....his name is Maravich put the kid in the game for one possesion.:yelwink2:

It would have been nice to get them in the game but that would have made no difference on their LSU basketball experience.

"Well, I didn't play much but man, those 30 seconds on Senior Day were awesome." I doubt either one would say the preceding statement.

I would think Wolfert would be much prouder about getting PT in the middle of meaningful games. He came in during the MSU game and had a block and a good looking 3 pt attempt that would have brought the house down had it fallen. I'd bet in 20 years he'll remember that instead of playing 30 meaningless seconds on Senior Day.

of course it wouldnt have made a difference as far as playing time yet it would have been nice for a standing ovation to be seared in their memories in the final home game.

Brady said tonight that he never thought about it, otherwise he would. He was too caught up in the game which often happens in final games like this in many sports. Usually, the players are indifferent. Its not that big of a deal to most if not all it seems.

As far as kicking the ball, I didn't mind it now you mentioned it. I kinda laughed and thought it was a bit funny. Probably because of the fools fighting over it.

    I agree.

It isnt about remembering the last 30 secs you go to play but rather it gives the LSU faithful the chance to honor there commitment to the team by working as hard as anybody and receiving the least amount of a reward.
A standing ovation would have been something both of them would always remeber. The PMAC would go crazy if they just took a shot imagine if they made it.;)
