It's against the rules. The basic rule of thumb is that the benefit (beyond the basic benefit of an athletic scholarship) must be equally available to all students for it to be okay. In this case, they would only be doing it only because he was an athlete. Neither an athlete nor his family can receive special benefits from him being an athlete.

Thanks for clearing that up. I went to a few games with some of the coaches wives and recalled seeing lots of players families in the same section (right under the press box near the students section) and I saw Rohan's mamma and thought that she travelled far and wondered about that...so anyway, thanks and glad my two little green dots are still there.:yelwink2:
They do get one other benefit that others are not entitled to and that is the free tickets for each player. The tickets are not actually tickets though, they have to appear at the will call gate and show an ID, they than get a stub.
I don't know why we have to be so negative on this guy already. At least you have to give him credit for really wanting to become a Tiger, and give him the support instead of writing him off. ________ Vaporizer
I deleted a sentence that I had in that post I should have kept, I wish him the best and hopes he becomes a Tiger, and if he doesnt I wish him nothing but success no matter where he goes. I deleted it because over time I have been pretty positive about any kid since they are just that kids, and this is a tough decision.
