I just think it's funny that he thinks they didn't lose anything. They lost Cadillac, Brown, Campbell and Rogers - seems to me that's a lot

yes, but it seems to me that he is referring only to teams hurt by early departures

Maisel is a complete moron, not to mention possibly the most blatently biased sports writer in the national media. Some of the stuff he writes is just ridiculous. I pretty much stopped reading him after he wrote the article right after the 04 Rose Bowl (before the Sugar Bowl) declaring that the national championship game had already been played.

He holds absolutely no credibility with me.

I took it as them meaning NFL people leaving as well due to graduation and laughed. Had to read a bit closer.

Auburn will not win more then 8 games next year with their losses.

I know the Aubies will counter this with a sarcastic "woe-is-me" type post that they seem famous for but the truth hurts.

It's sort of a useless point. Auburn is losing a ton of players. Who cares whether it's because they have no choice?

Auburn needs only to develop a QB and a CB to make another title run in the West. I believe LSU is the favorite, but many will be surprised at how little dropoff AU will have on defense, even without Chizik.

AU played a ton of underclassmen and bench players in '04....there's more experience there than you might think. :thumb:
