I have never really liked or understood the idea of "co-defensive coordinators", but this could be an option in this case, although I'm not really sure how that would work (who would make the calls). Anyway, it worked for OU for a few years and it could be a way to retain some of Saban's defensive philosophies.
Heard Buddy say he thought the dynamic duo were headed to "Little Havana". Yes Nick, right away. Be there in a jiffy! Buddy also said, he believes, RP will be a :tigerhead . Who knows
Not too surprised about Moffitt, in part because of his previous stint in Miami. Coaches love to find and keep both strength and conditioning and trainers they like (especially the trainers). Trainers often get caught in the middle between coaches who hate players not being on the field due to injury and players jaking it and not playing through pain, so if a guy gets known as being trustworthy by a coach, that makes him golden (assuming, of course, he's very good at what he does, too).
Sam Nader has been there for 30 + years, I knew he would come with the contract but I am excited about Moffit possibly staying as well as Muschamp.
I hope this isnt one of those deals were Les feel obligated to let Clay try to get it right before he retires. If so we are screwed
I was sure I heard that Clay was coming for an administrative position, rather than a coaching position... we will see how it works out but I think we need more guys with SEC experience on the staff.
Well, I must say, I am more excited today than I was yesterday. Don't care who the assistants are. More interested in the recruits. Go Tigers!
