Miles was an assistant at Michigan under Carr and won two Big Tens and a National Championship I believe... talk your sh t now, because next season when we are an hour from Athens playing Tennessee for the SECCG you will be eating crow.... feel lucky that you don't have to play our loaded team next year... Shockley would look real good.. just like he did in '03 when Richt put him in to lose 30 yards on two sacks.
You are a tool dude. Look up Miles when he coached at Michigan slapnuts. During two stints as a Michigan assistant coach (1980-81, 87-94) Myles went 5-2-1 against Ohio State, aiding the Wolverines in five Rose Bowl appearances. You just showed your ignorance on the man, so put your little tail between your little bulldog legs and STFU. And yes there are videos of Miles and one of the reason I really like this hire.
Sorry Salty..... But I wanted to see LSU stay strong to balance the SEC WEST. Like I said, I don't want to see Auburn emerge as a dominating force.
Chip I remember another less than stellar coach that came out of Oklahoma State with a similar record... his name was Jimmy Johnson...
Don't try to play the classy guy now after spewing your nonsense in this thread. You try to say Richt and Stoops were good hires at the time b/c of their credentials as assistants, when Les' credentials as an assistant were just as good. Truth is you have no solid argument.
Ya know, Georgia won't match up with LSU during the regular season for over two seasons. So by that time, Miles will have established himself as either a Jimmy Johnson or a Ron Zook. And S. Spurrier and U. Meyer will have established their new roots as well. I simply don't want to see Auburn get any stronger... Why LSU didn't land Petrino is beyond my comprehension. Petrino was, by choice, on the short list. I can't see LSU being short of cash or flexibility. Why they couldn't have matched Saban's salary remains a mystery to me. Louisville couldn't have established that large of a buyout. And, OSU had just signed Miles through 2011.
This isnt something we have to worry about, this was their year. They loose alot of key guys this year. I don't fear them. As for the rest: State - Coach Croom hasn't had near enough time to pull them from the cellar Alabama - Shula, nuff said Ole Miss - No Manning no team, plus new coach Gorgia - Loosing just about everybody, Say bye Green
Your post makes no sense. Apples and Oranges... Miles has established himself as a HC with about a .625 winning percentage. Richt and Stoops are over .800 as head coaches. 5-2-1 against Ohio State is .625. Go back and look at FSU during the 90's and Florida while Stoops was there. If you see .625 anywhere....... You can THEN say I have no arguement!
