Looks like the general consensus over there is that there is no way that LSU will hire Slocum, which is correct. I didn't get that they are saying he will be LSU's next coach, only that he, supposedly, contacted LSU about being interested (which I believe) and LSU has already interviewed him (which I do not believe). One of the Ags made a good point - if you have to initiate the contact with LSU, you're not a serious candidate...
Okay, how about, if you're an out-of-work coach who got run from his last job, you're not a candidate! And Saban did contact LSU in '99. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Del Rio contacted LSU...
Slocum got lazy at A&M. Recruiting, he would visit a kid, tell him they wanted him to come to A&M, not follow up, then be surprised when he went to Texas or Texas Tech. I would be very dissappointed with Slocum.
Hey, we have something in common. On our boards, they are talking about RC being our next head coach if Coach Miles becomes yours. None of us seem to want RC either.
