His name has been bentered around, but I don't think he's anyone's first choice - at least not mine. But, since I don't have any pull the Skip or the athletice department, what I think really doesn't matter. :D

He could be interested. He loved Louisiana when he was here. But he and his wife are both from West Virginia, so it would have to be the right deal to get him to come.

I can't think of too many people that I would put above him on the list. I can think of a lot more that would be below him.

I think he'll stay at WV, he's just got it too good there and thats his Alma Mater. Besides the Big Easy is the easiest road to the BCS championship. I would say either Butch Davis, or what about Rick Neuheisel? I forgot about him, but not sure you guys want a preppy coach like him. You guys have to good a history a school prestige to settle for a lesser coach, shoot for the sky and get a big name guy.

    P.S. Spurrier is off limits though:thumb: .

    1. Jack Del Rio
    2. Romeo Crennel
    3. John Gruden

There's three right there. Just like it would be difficult to pull RR away from Wv, it would probably be hard to pull these guys away from the NFL, particularly Gruden, who would have to take a pay cut to come here.

JDR is #1 on my wish list as well. There are a few others above RR as well, but I think he's a very good coach who could really succeed here. A LOT of Louisiana high school coaches really like and respect RR, so he would be a good recruiter.

In the "what have you done for me lately?" world of sports and coaching, all I know is the preseason buzz was that Rich had a talented team and could easily go 11-0 in the Big East.

Therefore, going 8-3, with two of those losses coming in-conference, sure doesn't look good to me.

One thing LSU does not need is a guy who cannot seize an opportunity and get the most out his talent.

i don't think so, the woman kicker was his doing.
He almost ruined the CU program not to mention look how good the Washington Huskies have been lately. :thumb:

ps...Just what we need @ LSU, a real gambler.

Jack Del Rio would be excellent!

You guys help me out, I'll coach LSU football for free.
