Bye-Bye! Have fun with the Dolphins and enjoy reading the papers on Sunday mornings about the Hurricanes!
If he resigns he loses all negotiating stroke with the fish. They could come down on the cash or control and he would not have his fallback job at LSU.
From SI.com "I don't have a timetable," Saban said. "I don't know what their timetable is. ... They need time to go through the process and the things they need to do, and we'll make a decision as soon as we get the parameters of what the job basically entails." If offered the Dolphins job, Saban said, his decision won't be easy. "It's especially difficult when you have such a good job that you enjoy so much, and have a tremendous amount of gratitude for the opportunity to continue to have success here because of the tremendous support," he said.
I want to believe you crwfish but I just can't see any reason for Nick to be so slow with his decision if he is certain he is going to stay. From interviews it seems even he isn't sure of what he plans on doing, so how can your inside source be so sure. Unless it's Terri !!!
I agree that if Saban decided he wasn't going to take the job and the Dolphins blew it, then he would of already held a PC to squash the rumors and prevent any collateral damage to recruiting. I really hope he isn't telling recruits he isn't leaving b/c I would not believe it for one second.
I can verify the statement as I just caught the replay of the news on cable channel 9. He did indeed say it. He's a gone
I believe he'd leave Terry in BR and move alone. Saban wants the Dolphins job and will get it. The Dolphins are merely going through the motions of the process required by the league. I'll bet he'd leave Terry and the kids back in Baton Rouge and move alone to Miami, if the family really didn't want to move. There are lots of families where the breadwinner lives far away from Mom and the kids.
