I have never seen this poster before so I don't have a clue if it is valid. Hint- if rumors/speculation bother you......Don't read further. Also fits in with my theory this morning that Miami is not giving up on getting called out for the token interviews. I'm still being told 4:30 PM tomorrow LSU Sniper says: is when we will know 100pct which way Saban will go.Sort of like tracking a hurricane and predicting landfall. Miami may get scalded with the "Rooney Rule" and have to make ammends by promoting a minority into a very upper-end administrative position and some "other concessions" to appease "you-know-who". How will this sit with Saban? This is what Miami is working on right now, not really the interview but concessions. Face it, Miami will be a victim of extortion in this thing and if Saban goes there, God help him. I personally give him........3 years and he'll be back in the college ranks. Would you walk into such a situation? Also I'm told that if Saban does announce he's leaving, Davis will be coming to LSU, I repeat, Davis will be coming to Baton Rouge in January.
I might as well add to the rumor mill. Another message board indicated they heard that the deal is done, the minority thing just needs to happen first, then a deal will be signed by Tuesday. Also, supposedly Bertman has contacted both Butch Davis and Tubby for interviews. The Tubby thing just seems way too unreal to believe however. I think we're looking at Butch Davis as our next head coach come end of next week.
The Tuberville rumor is really tough for me to swallow - it just doesn't make much sense on many levels. I don't see Tubby being hired in Baton Rouge. LSU is no longer a one step forward, two steps back program. Personally, I say we snub the Tub...
Don't Saban and big ears share the same agent. He get's Saban a huge raise and then gets Tubberville the same thing. I won't like him as coach due to his previous hijinks. I will support my tigers either way....
Another name circulating is that of Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville, who insiders say would gladly come to LSU because of the internal problems usually characteristic at Auburn. Auburn powers tried to fire the undefeated coach last season, and he's 14-0 since then. Tuberville, though, has a large buyout in his contract that a new school may have to deal with, and an LSU source says Tuberville would be a tough sell to LSU people.
