Am I the idiot here? What am I missing about Tuberville's huge, $3 million dollar buyout here? I would think the fact that LSU would have to pay as much in the buyout as they would in more than a year's worth of salary would make the odds of Tubby coming to BR at about zero.

Tommy Bowden's star sure has dimmed in recent years. I don't want him, in part because I'm worried he'd mark time until his dad quit in order to take that job.

Riley is intriguing. Seems like a real, high-character guy.

    What the hell???

I thought Butch Davis wanted the job?
I would rather pay him the $3 million than to hire a coach like Tuberville.
Tuberville isn't worth it, what has he ever done until this year?
    Tommy Bowden?

    NO!! to Tubby

Bowden was only good because Rich Rodriguez was the brains. I'd rather Rich than Bowden.

I could live with Riley, But he isn't in my top three.

    My top Choices:

    1. Norm Chow
    2. Bobby Petrino
    3. Steve Spurrier (Buyout only 1.75 mil.)
    4. Butch Davis
    5. Rich Rodriguez

Yeah I mean come on, Tubberville. That's more than ridiculous. How do you hire a coach who 99+ percent of LSU fans despise greatly.

That's an embarrassment for Dandy Don to even put that in writing on his website. I thought even he had enough sense to avoid such a ridiculous post.

I gotta believe Butch Davis won't take a year off and will become our next coach. It's either him or Dennis Erickson. Maybe Petrino, but I am never sold on coaches that do well at mid-major schools.

    I'd go:

    1. Butch Davis
    2. Norm Chow (we can finally have a "Chinese Bandit"! ;))
    3. Romeo Crennel (we're doing great with 1 former Belichick D-coordinator)
    4. Mike Riley
    5. Steve Spurrier (is this what it feels like to kiss your brother/sister?? Can't BELIEVE I acutally listed him! ...but I'm no dummy)

Urban Meyer is a mid-major coach that I think LSU fans would of loved to had.

I like Houma Tigers coach list with Romeo Crennel in the top two.

I would be inclined to firebomb the athletic dept if Tubby was hired.

Of course Petrineaux probably has the best name for the job.
