My friends and I were discussing spending New Years in Orlando. There are awesome fireworks in Orlando for New Years followed by Tiger football the next day. How can you lose? Go Auburn!!!
Disney is cool, but Universal is a must. I was in Disney one year for New Years and the fireworks unmatched. They literally light up the whole sky. Another must is Islands of Adventure. If you like coasters, ride Fire and Ice. Hands down the best coaster I've been on. You'll love Orlando. Very clean city with tons to do.
Saint, why did you have to buy tickets off of ebay, are they cheaper? My friends and I are debating on how close to downtown we should stay. It obviously gets more expensive the closer you get. Staying around disney is actually cheaper, so we might check out Pleasure Island. But I heard there are a lot of bars downtown.
Hotdog, all ticketmaster had left was upper deck seating. I'm cool with sitting in the upper level, but I'm bringing my three children & they want to sit on the lower level. I did pay a little more than face value, however, it wasn't that much more than $70.
Woo hoo Got my tickets through the studen raffle...My girlfriend is all excited about Disney World, I'm ready for some football. Should be a fun game.:geaux:
Bars in Orlando? Two words: Church Street...its THE place to go in downtown Orlando...too many bars to name. Havent been there in a while but I have some vivid (and not so vivid) memories...great area.:thumb:
If you drive to Church Street make sure to lock your doors and don't leave anything of value in the car. Its not in the nicest area of Orlando and there are tons of cars getting broken into there, but it still is a fun place.
