I usually turn the radio on and listen to Jim Hawthorne, but there was alot of interference in my area today and I had to listen to CBS. What didn't you like about them? I thought they were pretty good - particularly Spencer Tillman.
I love a game where Tiger fans are complaining about the announcers afterwards, it usually means the Tigers played a good game and there is nothing else to complain about. :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: I say bring on the horrible announcers for one more game!!!!! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
I must have selective listening. When they started jocking him, I guess I tuned them out. I do recall them mentioning his hamstring a few too many times.
What do you expect? It a holliday. Most of the best announcers have seniority and are home with their families. If you recollect, this game always get the junior announcers. I thought they did a better job than the guys we usually get for the after Thanksgiving game.
Considering Matt Jones is one of the best running and dual threat quarterbacks this conference has ever seen, I can see why they'd play him up. Who else is a good storyline for the Hogs? Who else has more tenure, experience, and big game ability than Jones? They had to talk about someone. I also remember Spencer Tillman "indicting Jones' game" in his own words saying that, "Jones is lazy".
The play-by-play guy was definitely average, but the color commentator was quick and knowledgeable and had done his homework. I've seen much worse. I give them a B-.
