Anybody See Spurrier's Sportscenter Interview?

Old jackass said Pete Carroll and Bob Stoops were without a doubt the best two coaches in college football. No mention of Saban at all. It sure didn't take him long to start being his old self again. I had forgotten how much I can't stand the guy. My guess is he sees we are a ways down the road on his schedule and he's hoping Saban won't stick around until then. Good look to the Gamecocks, I hope we get the chance to beat the hell out of you in Atlanta next year. I don't like him, but is sure is nice to have him back in the SEC. Hating Wingnut and Fat Boy is nice, but having Spurrier to despise is really something special.

 

Sorry, but I would have to agree with him, especially in saying Stoops is the best, as he has proven his worth over several seasons. Carroll has the Trojans back in the top 2 again this year and is in the process of having 3 great seasons in a row after taking over a program that was way down. Now if Saban can bring the Tigers back in to the top 2 or 3 teams again next season than I would put him in the mix.

 

He sounds a little different to me. I don't see why not mentioning Saban is so horrible, either.

 

Respect for the NFL, but I think he's the same guy when it comes to college. He could have mentioned Saban if for nothing else to help promote the SEC. He won't do it though. You can be arrogant not only by what you say but what you don't say as well. How quickly people forget.

 

If you are saying Carroll is better than Saban...you need to step away from the crack pipe. You can't compare their patsy schedule to LSUs, plus southern cal is the media darling, that's why they are ranked #1. We squeak by OSU early and drop 4-5 spots, USC does the same to a couple of patsies and are hyped for 'great perserveance to come back and win'?!?! :dis:

Its a fact, no one and I mean no one gives LSU credit. If it was up the AP last year we would not have been in the Sugar Bowl. Its reality but us true Tiger fans know how hard the SEC is and what we face year in and year out not like the Wack 10.

Not true at all, OU would not have been. We were ranked 2, OU 3.

I can no longer stand this lack of respect thing. Last year we had every reason to gripe. This year we are a mediocre team who plays up or down to whomever we are playing (with the exception of Ga).

 

actually if it were up to the ap ou would not have been in the sugar bowl. those two schools have been at the top of the polls since those coaches got there, yeah their schedules are a little weak but its basically the same schedules they were playing before the coaches got there so they must be doing something right. i think saban is one of the top coaches but does lsu have one of the top coaching staffs? maybe next season lsu's coaching staff will be much better with at least one change.
