Here's a little gump story, and I preclude by reminding everyone that my son spent two years living in Birmingham. A young couple moved in 2 doors from me a couple of years ago, and the guy flies a 'Bama flag every Saturday afternoon in the fall. Don't even know their names; I've tried waving or calling out a hello numerous times, and every time he looks at me like I owe him money. So I know him only as the Bama asshole two doors down. Now during TS Barry, the homeowner between the two of us evacuated, and she neglected to protect her garbage can. The storm knocked it over and blew a little bit of trash onto Bama asshole's yard. I watched the dude during a break in the wind go outside, pick up the trash and put it - not back in the can, but on the owner's front porch. Then he dragged the can back onto her driveway, not even bothering to stand it up again. Later, my wife told our son about this on the phone, and she told him how we only know them as Bama fans - "not saying that that has anything to do with it." Our son said, "Yes it does, they're assholes. Its just what they are." He lived among them for 2 years; he should know.
