Look, this sarcastic dreck wasn't cute the first couple of dozen times you guys posted it, OK? Take it somewhere else, already. I don't know why you guys are hanging around here anyway...no, wait...NOW I remember why: YOUR OWN BOARD SUCKS.
Actually, Dabbs, this was all our AU boards were filled with for the months and months prior to the AU/LSU game. Nearly every LSU fan gave us this: Saban cannot be beat, our players are faster and stronger and no one can hang with them, Jamarcus Russell will shatter every record held by every player who ever set foot on a football field. I was, in this thread speaking about ramah (as he is the most extreme example), but the statement stands. LSU has a very good football team. No argument about that, it's just that the hyperbole is unfounded to date. Side note to whoever stated that "everyone" agrees that the refs "handed" AU the game: I've not heard that majority. It was a proper enforcement of a valid rule. UT is the team that got screwed by the refs.
That's very likely because it's something you don't want to hear. The next week, all I heard on the national talk shows is how it was a pissant call that the refs had no business making at that decisive point of the game. In short, it could have gone either way, and you got a home-field call that decided the game. Do you really think the official throws that flag if the game was in Tiger Stadium? You guys got a gift...just like Ole Miss got a gift last year when Obamanu dropped that pass in the end zone. Take it, and move on. But to get back to my original point, don't come in here talking trash like you beat us by 3 TDs when you eked out a one-point win. It only makes YOU look like an ass.
Greene's record vs UF 0-3 Greene's record vs LSU soon to be 0-3 0 National Titles Will you're right, just like Manning, can't win the games that count.
On the Same Page Again, Ramah I've posted before how average Greene is, but apparently Trev Alberts and the rest of the sports media don't read my posts. Anyway, I find it very interesting that LSU's QB's are statistically ahead of DG but he was considered Heisman material prior to the season. It'll all come out in the wash on Saturday. I can't wait. Got a front-row seat in the living room in front of the big screen (well, it's big to me), and I'll have a big ole pot of red beans cooking in the kitchen along with some cornbread. SPEED KILLS!!!!! CALL THE CORONER!!!! GEAUX TIGAHS!!!!!
Hey, Chip82 Greene's already getting great protection this season, but he still hasn't produced. You think he's all of a sudden going to set the world on fire against LSU? I'm not saying he won't complete a pass, but UGA's 3rd-down conversion rate is horrible, and he hasn't seen a defense as good as LSU's so far this season. Yes, he's been the starter for all those wins, but Jay Barker won a lot of games for Alabama some years ago, and he wasn't that great either. Your defense won the vast majority of those games, not Greene.
