I think Croom will turn it around...just not this year. I think alot of parents in MS (at least) will steer their kids to MSU because of Croom. Give him 2-3 years, when he is playing with 'his' recruits, and the dogs will be competitive in the SEC again. Sherrill had run that program into the ground. You can't fix all those problems in one year.
I know it will take some time. I just wonder what kind of recruits his will be if the program doesn't show some signs of improvement. As far as this weekend, I'm looking for Tennessee to win, for obvious reasons. I think it would probably be good for us if UF wins too, as we don't want them at home fired up after a loss next week. Don't care too much about who wins the rest. I would like to see MSU beat Vandy, and I think they have a shot if they play well, but Vandy has looked better than usual so far this year, so I think they'll probably take that one.

Go Bama, you can handle the SEC's light work ! If cardinal isn't the right shade of red, maybe crimson is.
Vandy actually opened at -10.5. Not sure what the line is now, but I thought I had seen everything. Vanderbilt a 10 1/2 point favorite over another SEC team. When's the last time that happened?
In an unrelated note, on Jim Rome's show, (notorious PAC 10 lover) he just said that the SEC is the best conference in college football.
I'm going with Arky on this one. I think that they are a lot better than they are given credit for. I will also say that AU is a bit overrated. I think that LSU just really really stunk in that game. So I will go with Tenn. Bama isn't as dead as expected without their QB, so I will go with them. And boy it is hard to pick Vandy to win any SEC game, but this is one that looks like a prime candidate.
I haven't listen to him since we won the NC last year. He turned out to be such a USC "homer" that I could no longer stand to listen to him. MAYBE I'll tune him in and see what he has to say. I'm all for second chances. Isn't that right Crissy ?
