The system can be quite simple...
Power 5 champs are automatic qualifiers if they are ranked in the top 12. Those outside the top 12 lose their spot to at-large.
Top G5 champion automatically qualifies if ranked in the top 16. If none are available the spot becomes at-large.
Final two spots (plus any lost spots) are at large.

ACC and SEC champs are in. If Wisconsin and Oklahoma win, that is the playoff teams. Either lose, and Bama is in. If both lose, its ACC champ, SEC champ, Bama and ?.

As long as the sister phucking gumps are left out I am a happy man.
