LSU opponents’ marching band will no longer perform at halftime

    I'd have a lot more respect for the decision if your athletic department would just own up to what it really is. This isn't a safety issue. LSU's sidelines aren't any more dangerous than that of Florida, Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, etc. They wanted to squeeze a few more seats for home fans and to take away some of the "energy" from the visitors' section. Just upping the home field advantage a bit more. But instead of just admitting that's what it is, they come up with this BS story about safety knowing that the end result will be the same - visiting bands won't spend the $$ to come to the game if they can't perform so LSU can use the seats themselves.
