No, it's on the Republican party for repeatedly marching out a shit show of candidates so bad that even a dick head like Trump appears like a better choice. The Trump support in the primary is a revolt within the party against its incompetent leadership, it's not that people actually like Trump. The masses realize that the party is so rotted at the core that the only thing to do is blow it up. This is their collective hitting the self destruct button as they abandon the sinking ship. The party establishment seems determined to go down with the ship rather than change. IF they stay the course much longer the Republican party will be as irrelevant as some of the fringe 3rd parties that never come close to winning anything.
