Sometimes a change is good for everybody. A new place can re-motivate a person who has become complacent. I sure hope that's not the case with Chief, or if it is, we beat the stuffing out of his defense just the same. That's one game I would hate to see LSU lose.
Les is 1-1 against at LSU against the Chief's D. Scored 21 in a loss (shut out 2nd half) and 28 in a win at Knoxville.
Here's to LSU going up 2/1 against Chief. If my memory is correct, the one loss was the Katrina year and LSU was simply worn out the second half.
Of course not. It's terrible logic. The football coach has an itinerant profession. The average stay is less than 3 years. They make moves for all kinds of reasons. Most moves are lateral, but they get promotions, they lose jobs, they take demotions, they get promoted again, and they go in and out of the NFLand sometimes take high school head coaching jobs. Coaches move around, that alone means nothing. Five of our ten football coaches are former NCAA head coaches as well as a former NFL head coach. Half the staff. LSU pays for and gets good coaches and Les replaces them when they need to be replaced. Brick was the last one. Hard for you to argue that Orgeron isn't far better.
Additionally, you don't hear LSU coaches seeking to leave much. They are, for the most part, loyal because Les is loyal to them, LSU is such a prominent program, the coaches are treated right (personally, financially, etc), and by all accounts the program is run like a family environment.
Not according to Chavis. Chuy thinks he was robbed, when his punk ass was out the door before the season was over.
That's why I said for the most part. He was the one exception, and it happened several times - he flirted with UGA, then A&M. Porter left for an HC position - very understandable. Most of the asst's needed a Mack truck to get them out of there - think Stud, MalVeto, Crow.
