Seriously all you fair weather fans grow some balls and act like a true fan, a true American for Christ sake. We live in a fan world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded apparently by me and a few others. I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to people who rise and sleep under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you get behind the Tigers, and went on your way. Either way, I just watched a Few Good Men, drank a few good glasses of wine and do give a damn when you proclaim to be a fan and expect to lose.......you're gotdamn right they will win!!!

I'm new here, recently moved to NC so its good to find something to keep in contact with something LSU. I was around the LSU program in 07, 08 & 09. Granted I don't have that much insight on this years team but just a little perspective from a college football stand point.
Just my opinion-
Defense- we don't have the talent at LBs for the SEC but with the exception of Loston we do have it at every other level. We don't have the depth on D either and thats a problem. Our D has to get off the field every chance it gets (the reason the O went to power running game) and not having experienced players hints why they are pressing. Granted some of the guys on D have been in the system before this year but it is a total different thing than practice or playing sparingly than playing every down. I see a lot of guys that don't know how to play every down yet and when things start to go wrong they start to press to make something happen. They will get better but it will not be overnight.
Offense- A couple of things, on tight ends, we do not have a true pass catching TE. Therefore we are not going to throw to TEs every game or game plan for it. We do have it in a fresh that is nowhere near ready to play yet. If you every wonder why you see an underclassman play some and don't see him anymore its because he does not know the plays and thats a big problem with playing time and trust me it happens a lot. Our OL is average at best and when they play well they are playing over their abilities. The problem with Mett lately is all timing and pressing and its because we shifted to running the ball more for one reason- to shorten the game to help the D to get more rest. Before when we was passing more the timing was there, now in practice and in game there are less opportunities to pass and when that happens you lose timing and Mett starts to force. I know coach Chavis and he is mostly concern with his D not being on the field more than they have too.

C'mon. Is that how we're going to treat posters who can always at least show some kind of substance for what they claim/question? Surely we're better than that.

And my comment is not aimed exclusively at you but, reading what you posted, are you suggesting we only want to have people here that will suck each other off and spit out purple & gold cum?

After that Ole Miss fiasco, you would think this team would have a little pride and fire in their belly to come out strong and make a statement but they were flat from opening kickoff.

Teams reflect the attitude of their coach and it's clear that Miles is on cruise control and has been for a while. After the first INT, I've never seen a team at any level, look so dead and uninspired. There wasn't one player, coach or waterboy trying to get the team motivated.

Miles isn't hungry and the team isn't hungry. Anyone who is at the games in person can see it. It's a rudderless ship adrift at sea.

I know there is the group that can't stand to hear anything negative about LSU and Miles but it's reality. I'm not talking about Miles record or anything in history, but what is taking place right now.

Such a bs post. First off, Saban's teams come out flat often as evidenced by several games over the years including this year.

Second, to say Miles doesn't want to win our best the hell out of teams is absurd. He has plenty of fire in his belly and has the want just as much as he ever has.

Has he had some tough losses and therefore unreached goals, yes he has. But it has nothing to do with how much he wants to win.
