Agreed. Josh got unbelieveable seperation from defenders. It seemed like every time they threw the ball to him he looked like he was wide open.:thumb:

That's why I said "may" help. It's hard to predict whether the loss of the main guy will help or hurt the #2 WR. Not having Randle may make it harder for him. It could afford him more targets. That leads me to my next point.

Not directed at you Herb, but I think we should ease up on the expectations for OBJ. He had a good freshman season, which could have been better, but it doesn't necessarily mean he leaves LSU as an all-world WR. Some players have success early and then their production plateaus for the rest of their career. How much will the loss of Randle hurt him? I really hope that doesn't happen because we need him to be very productive.

We have 5 RB'S that will deserve touches and are adding a QB who we all believe can read defenses, have poise in the pocket & hopefully go through his progressions. If our oline keeps maturing and functions like it should I look for this to be an incredible offense.

The key of course will be the development of Mett, I really hope he has the want to be great like a Brees and studies the offense and watches all the film available. Talent alone will not suffice.

I know this statement is a no brainer, but you could tell with OBJ that he seemed to be thrown to more with Jarret Lee . JJ threw to Shepp And RR and i notice alot of times he dished it to a RB.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. I really like OBJ, but he is just getting started. Remember how great we thought Justin Vincent was gonna be after his freshman year? I hope you are right about OBJ, and I like him a lot too. But let's see how things play out next year....

Also, OBJ could show recruits that young WRs can get playing time at LSU and hopefully also get passes thrown their way. Last year set back our offense but looking forward to a more conventional offensive attack from here on.

I think OBJ will be ok, I did get a chance to talk with OBS before the NCG. His Dad had great work habits, don't see any falloff in OBJ. Lots of talent over the years from that Marshall, Tx. area.
