About a year or so ago I was ready to tar and feather Les Miles. What a difference a year can bring. What a dunce I was. Please forgive me. Happy New Year to all.
Tar and feather? Wouldn't it be more modern to freeze him, then drop him in a giant vat of hot oil. The explosion would be heard clear to Tuscaloosa. I think a lot of people have bought tickets to board the CLM Express train this year. Plenty of room. Let's meet in the bar car for some holiday cheer!
I will have to say I was not excited about the hiring of CLM but he has certainly proven me wrong. No issues admitting that either.
The thing is, we've had our share of bumps in the road since Miles has been here: - The RP situation hurt us at QB for '08 and '09. - Clock Management issues against Ole Miss in '09 and last year vs Tennessee. - Allowing Peveto and Mallory to stay on as co-def coord. - Poor offenses '08 - '10. And now Miles has righted the ship and has LSU ranked #1 and primed for another run next year. He is a prime example of a coach that as been offerded an opportunity to stay on the job. I'm glad he's our coach!
I think most of us had the same feelings. I am also going to have to go with the 5 Hail Mary's and 2 Our Father's.
