1. Not that I am going to jump on the AP poll bandwagon, but the difference between that year and what we are currently up against is: We already defeated Bama this season, at their house. I think if we were to lose a close one a split national championship would be more appropriate for this season. Hopefully this will be a non issue come Jan 9th!!!
  2. 2003 was a completely different situation.

Not even close to being relevant to the current potential scenario.
  3. We're playing to consolidate the AP Title with the BCS title.

    Deal with it.

    We're already half way there.
  4. do not want
  5. Personally, I hope Miles comes out and says something like "we won't accept a split title. The winner in New Orleans is the champion."

You can bet he is saying the same thing to the team, who believes it as well. No reason to let anyone think this game isn't for it all.

    GEAUX TIGERS
  6. LOL you will not have to worry about that

If bama wins we will drop 2 maybe 3 places
  7. seriously. That is not wise. the most LSU drops is to #2

But we might as well discuss flying to Mars because LSU is going to whip Bummer and Finish this.
  8. I would think that the BCS is rooting for LSU to win this game big time, not meaning a blow out either. I think this is the nail in the coffin for the BCS and the way all of this post action is run. I agree its a total different situation, It is impossible to compare the situation, anyone who brings it up is still pissed because of 03, get over it and move on.
LSU will beat Alabama, no doubt this team came this far and I'll be damned if they don't finish the season undefeated.
Having said that the AP would love nothing better to crown a different champion. I think most are against the current system ESPECIALLY the way it has worked at this year. Not our fault or Alabama's for that matter, that the rest of the football teams choked, cough, cough.....

Edit: I think it should be the end of this current system regardless for many reasons.
  9. I commend you for thriving "behind enemy lines":thumb:
