you still have not answered my question.......

So I will answer it for you:

LSU has defeated #2, 8, & 9 in the BCS
UGA has defeated ZERO teams in the BCS top 25.

your defensive stats are inflated due to inferior competition.

You have a respectable QB, but he has not faced anything like our defense. If he can pass on us, then we will have a fight on our hands. If not, this game will get out of control.

UGA boasts about their ability to stop the run, but I ask you this: Who, specifically, have they stopped?

Please tell me how am I skewing facts again. I was under the impression that BECAUSE of strength of schedule issues, the fairest way to compare stats was to compare games that BOTH LSU and UGA have played. Anyone who tells me that I am skewing facts by doing so isn't using common sense. And yes I agree that LSU puts more points on the board against other teams and yes I know that they beat most opponents by more points the UGA. Many seem to confuse my saying that Georgia is a respectable team and should not be overlooked to mean that I think overall UGA is better than LSU. I have never said such and never asked anyone else to. My point about defense in that STATISTICALLY UGA gives up less yards and is a formidable defense in the SEC. There is a reason we have the #2 run defense in the country. This is why when people say that LSU is going to have their way with UGA on offense I think they are nuts. Apart from Alabama this will be the toughest defense the tigers have played yet. Aaron Murray is the best quarterback LSU will play all season. The dawgs offense will be playing the toughest defense they have played so far. These are reasons why I think this will be a closer game than most people care to admit.

Marcus Lattimore put up 176 yds against this "stellar run D", Boise put over 100 yds, and Ga Tech gouged you for 243 yds rushing.

So what still makes you think we will not be successful running on your dogs?

Agreed, Georgia will be no cakewalk. But you must try to understand just how confident we are in this LSU team. It is far better than the 2003 and 2007 national championship teams and as battle-tested as any college football team that I have seen. And they have improved as the season went along.

I don't think many here would disagree with that, but you did say that UGA's defense has consistently proven to be better than LSU's. And that's just silly.

NO ... the fairest way to look at it is to compare the body of work, and who it was against.

More relevent, IMO, is the last 5 games, which eliminates any misfires and growing pains of the first half of the season.

When looking at points for and points against, and how GA and LSU should have performed vs how they actually performed ....

GA allowed 54% of what it's combined opponents normally score.
GA scored 130% of what it's combined opponents normally allow.

Those are GREAT numbers Nate ... not many teams can claim them. BUT ..

LSU allowed 29% of what it's combined opponents normally score
LSU scored 162% of what it's combined opponents normally allow.

I'm not saying it will be a cake walk, I don't think anyone believes playing GA will be like playing Ol Miss, where we are taking a knee with 5 minutes left in the game. But .. the statistics are what they are, LSU is a tad stronger team, especially on defense.

IMO .. it is a great Victory that GA is even playing in the SEC CG. Same goes for LSU. This is what these guys play the game for .. to be able to face the very best in a meaningful game .. because it means that they themselves are amoung the very best. 10 other SEC teams do not get this honor.

If I were a coach .. I'd rather lose to a really great team, than win against a lesser opponent.

"We just came off the massive high of smashing Auburn to pieces and after what happened in the 2010 game that was a huge event for the dawgs"

Beating an Unranked Auburn team that has been getting smashed by everyone this was a massive high.

Man has UGA's expectations really fallen off.
I was talking about beating the #3 team in the nation on the road.
You are celebrating beating an unranked team.
    Well to each his own.

NateDawg apparently does not reply to sensible, logical, nor factual statements. He just continues to re-assert himself with blanket emails to give himself comfort. A nice troll, but still just a troll.

A nice troll indeed. We should make a thread for him after the game like we've done for so many others. :)
