1. I heard they would join the east which is confusing. Why not move Auburn to the east and put Mizzou in the west this way Arkansas and Mizzou can have their thanksgiving border war and us an A&M can start ours.

Get rid of that stupid Boot trophy
  2. Thanks on the link info Bret. I'll try that ( just www. ) next time. Did try it before with just one http:// and that didn't work. Thanks again.
  3. Morgantown is 30 minutes drive from Pittsburg...SEC on TV there would be huge...so WVU does...er....did offer a lot in terms of TV viewers. Problem is that ESPN doesn't credit that market to WVU because of the way their advertisers get charged.

It's cavalier for us in the deep south to crow about their academics....this is a stereotype.

Their fan base,I hear, is one of the top merchandising schools in the Eastern USA.

But it's too late now because ESPN has directed Slive to look to Missouri...a university that has more TV sets that won't be tuned in to Missouri football games because of apathy.

Slive and the SEC dropped the ball big time with this one...because ESPN has undue influence in all conference realignments...especially the SEC's
  4. google maps shows the shortest route is 76 miles. Maybe you drive that at an average speed of 152mph, but I bet the buses that a football team would be taking will take just a tad longer.
  5. The vast majority of Pittsburgh is not interested in WVU football at all, regardless of proximity.

As far as their academics, we are adding TAMU and MIZZOU which are top 100 Universities in the country. WVU would be the worst academic school in the conference if we added them.

    Where's the value?

  6. :geaux: Guess if they do end up as #14, we'll just have to show 'em how it's done and get 'em up to snuff. :hihi: Thought the statement that, "Columbia's not in the South, but you can see the south from Columbia" was interesting. They're kind of betwixt & between up there. Time will tell. :LSU231:
