Don't worry, LSU's rep as the the best college football atmosphere has reached Australian shores too. At least in our house. Your back-story sounds similar to mine. I wanted to do a southern USA road trip and go to a college football game - LSU marries these two together nicely. And I lived 6 years in the UK.
They are probably extremely hung over and trying to remember what day of the week it is and when they are flying back across the pond. :lol:
This is true... mattyl2003 never did say how long they were over here for... maybe they decided to stick around and go to the mooU game as well. LOL! For some reason it feels like a week has already gone by since last night's game... today has seemed to drag for obvious reasons. Also, I'm more than ready for some more Tiger football.
i met an australian while in grad school. took her to an lsu game. happened to be the 97 uf game. probably wouldnt have married me if we'd lost.
I envy those guys. They are taking 2 1/2 weeks to go from NOLA, to Br, to Austin, and meandering out west to the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam, then finishing up in Vegas. Sounds like a trip of a lifetime to me. Team Katters were gracious enough to welcome them at their tailgate and the last I saw they were heavily involved in a game of flip cup. Thanks for welcoming them TK. Hopefully they got to see the band and team come down the hill and were in the middle of raucous fans once they were in the stadium.
Ahhh Haaa! Good to hear they found the tailgates! Will look forward to hearing their 1st hand report when they do get back across the pond then... at least I hope they remember to.
pod and i got them to where they needed to be to see the band come down the hill. i left them as they headed towards the stadium as they were on the opposite side as me. i believe pod walked with them to their gate. i wish they could have had a better game experience, as saturday was somewhat subdued, but better than no game, imo. they were all very nice guys and i enjoyed getting to meet them. i hope they had fun at lsu, and will for the rest of their trip. eta: we swung by where red tailgates, but i didnt see him so we kept walking to get them to the stadium for the band. sorry we missed you, red. i guess you'll just have to stay an anonymous internet character.
