We could stop the corn shipments to Louisiana if that would help. Unfortunately, that would just leave you with the much more boring LSwho, which is the lamest, most uncreative of all.
The hipper Bammers call LSU "The Who". But the only SEC taunt that comes anywhere close to the lameness of the corndog sillyness is "Hotty Toddy". WTF is that anyway?
I was told by an Auburn fan years ago some Auburn fan said "LSU" and our fans "Smell like Corndogs" So they think that is offensive to us, or a "burn" I have told Several Auburn fans that it really doesnt bother us much and doesnt make much sense. BUT they seem to like it, and you dont want to ruin it for them. Kind like a little kid who keeps laughing at the word "Fart" let them have their fun... Some other schools have picked up on it, I also explain that it really doesnt bother us, because well it doesnt really make sense, make fun of our food, culture, drinking habits, etc. But whatever they seem to like it. BUt again they think its great, so whatever if it makes them happy... So why ruin it for them....
That corn dog taunt originated in the old Big 8, I believe against Iowa State and was copied by some plagiarist from Auburn, maybe the same one that suggested they copy LSU and adopt Tigers as their name. Equating Louisiana and corn dogs doesn't make a lot of sense but they seem to be too stupid to realize that and calling themselves Tigers and having a bird as a mascot is..., well I don't even have a word for that.
